Skittles Estimation: Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022
Our class will study Ancient Egypt in the 2nd nine-weeks. Students will be studying and researching different topics of Ancient Egypt around a driving question. Students will then later teach the rest of the class. Ancient Egypt Day will be on Tuesday, December 10. On Egypt Day, each group of student “Egyptologists” will impart their newly acquired expertise in presentations for the class. Afterwards, student groups will administer a test they’ve created to the rest of the class to assess how well they were able to deliver that information. Of course, Mr. P will be on hand, helping to ensure that everyone learns what is necessary. J Lots of information about this research/teaching project will be sent home in students’ Tuesday folder as we progress through the unit of study. Additionally we will read the novel, The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan later this semester.
